It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Helen Carbon on January 6th, at Banner Hospital. Mary, born on May 3rd, 1940, to Vivian and Donilla Lujan, in San Miguel County, New Mexico. Mary lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy. Mary attended school in New Mexico and later became a loving mother to her four children - Dick, Daisy, Tammy, and Charlie.

Mary was a hardworking individual who held two or three jobs, at a time, while making a lasting impact on those she worked with. Her time at The Red and White Cafe, The Green Derby, Ramada and Holiday Inn, and her cleaning roles at the Wonder Bar and Courthouse showcased her dedication. Her passion for cooking extended way beyond a professional settings. Mary's positive influence even reached the lives of her "adopted" children while cooking at the jail. She continued to bless people with her delicious foods and beautiful smile, earning the affectionate title of "Mamma" in the Kitchen.

Mary found joy in exploring almost all states, often accompanied by her beloved family. Her love for dancing and laughter added a vibrant touch to her life. Mary's unconditional love embraced her family and friends. Her greatest joy was found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retiring at the age of 80, Mary's memory lives on in the hearts of those she met. Mary Helen's legacy is one of love, laughter, and enduring warmth. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched.

Survivors include: Daughters, Tammy St. Angelo (Bubba), Daisy Ekstrand, Sons, Dick Wakefield (Kim) and Charlie Wakefield (Megan). Grand-daughter, Valarie Wakefield. Grand-sons, Duane Woods, Moses Mcgowan (Vicki), and Joseph Wakefield (Courtney). Great Grand-children, Aleena, Makeela, Maddix, Mason, Autumn, Baylee, and Nikoli. Sisters, Isabel, Estella, and Angela. Brothers, Sammy and Johnny. Step-Mother, Elvira.

Proceded in death by: Brothers, Joe, Adam, Lorenzo, Leo, and Herman. Sisters, Socorro, Eva, and Rose. Parents, Vivan & Donilla Lujan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contributions in Mary's name may be made to the family in care of Tammy St. Angelo and family.
