Mary Jane (Bunger) Bressler, 82, passed peacefully from this earth, in her home surrounded by family, on March 16, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home.
She was born October 5, 1936 in Ellensburg, Washington, the daughter of dairy farmers, John and Mary (Champie) Bunger. She attended local schools in Ellensburg and Bremerton, and graduated from Grandview High School in 1954.
In the summer of 1955, she met Robert L. "Bob" Bressler, and they were married 3 months later, on October 1 in Grandview, Washington. Upon Bob's honorable discharge from the US Army, they moved to Wyoming and started their family. In 1965, they moved back to Casper to enter the ranching business with Bob's father at 33 Mile Ranch, where he had grown up.
Jane worked side by side with her husband on the ranch for 60 years, as the chief bookkeeper and cook for the working men. She served as an election judge for several decades, was a talented artist, seamstress, and cook. She loved to raise chickens and dogs and had great appreciation for music and antiques. She embraced changing times and technology with vigor, always keeping up with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bob, brother Jack (Pat) Bunger, children Cheryl (Steve) Degenfelder of Casper, Carla (Dave) Crawmer of Atlanta, Georgia, Bryce (Denise) Bressler of Casper, and Todd (Trina) Bressler of Pomeroy, Ohio, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, and several beloved dogs and chickens.
