After some time, Marvin met, courted and eventually married Lettie Potts, on February 14, 1961 in Redmond, Oregon. They made their home in Nampa, and Stephen joined the family on July 10, 1963. Mary was born on October 19, 1965.
When discharged from the Navy, Marvin began working in Idaho First National Bank and through the years worked at Treasure Valley Bank and then retired from Key Bank. He was always involved in church and civic activities.
