Marvin Gale Boleng “Marv “passed away peacefully on 04/09/2025 with his loved ones by his side. Born on 03/18/1942 at the family farm in Utica Township, Iowa, he was the youngest of three children, to Milton and Esther Boleng. He loved motorcycles, old cars, and was always a tinkerer and could fix anything. He worked a variety of jobs including serving his country in the US Army National Guard for 7 years. During this time Marvin also worked for Western Electric manufacturing telephone equipment. From 1968-1974 he worked for Peter Kiewit Sons’ Co. in Omaha, Nebraska and Sheridan, Wyoming where he was an office manager, purchasing agent and construction foreman on two nuclear power plants. He moved to Glenrock, Wyoming and worked for Thatcher & Sons Co. as a roustabout foreman building production facilities, tank batteries, and gas compressor/skid mounted gas plant installations. Marvin's journey led him to a long career with Conoco as a maintenance foreman in various fields in Wyoming and later became Senior Production Operator in the Dragon Trail Gas Field in Northwest Colorado by Rangely. At this time, he was transferred from Production to Natural Gas and Gas Products and was a heavy-duty mechanic. Marvin retired early from Conoco as Plant Operator. Marvin successfully owned and operated and then sold two small businesses in Rangely, Colorado with his wife, Alice. After his retirement, he became a consultant in Battlement Mesa and Piceance Creek with RJ Taylor out of Vernal, Utah. He then went to work for Encana as superintendent with ConocoPhillips, later known as Encana, from which he retired in 2015. Marvin and Alice then moved back to Casper, Wyoming.

Marvin met and married Alice on 09/22/1978 in Casper, Wyoming. They created a blended family with six children ranging from four to fifteen years old. Marvin was a devoted husband and father who loved to cook, sew, hunt, and fish. He loved camping and boating in Glendo, Wyoming and later Kenny Reservoir near Rangeley, Colorado. He never met a stranger and had many friends.

Marvin is preceded in death by both his parents (Milton and Esther Boleng), his oldest two sons (Daniel Boleng and Chris Boleng) and his brother and sister-in-law (Phillip and Barbara Boleng).
