Marjorie F. Crouch

July 27, 1928 — November 25, 2019

On November 25, 2019, Marjorie Frances Crouch passed away peacefully at the age of 91. Born in Pueblo, Colorado to Roy and Florence Rolander, Marge was a thespian, cheerleader and homecoming queen at Rocky Ford High School. While majoring in journalism and education at University of Colorado, she pledged Alpha Phi and participated enthusiastically in sorority life.

Marge married William Jackson Crouch in 1950, and they moved to Casper, Wyoming, where Bill pursued his career as a petroleum engineer. After ten years in the tight-knit neighborhood of South Illinois Street, she and Bill moved their seven daughters to Goose Egg Road. There Marge oversaw the chaos of 4-H animals, sports practices, music lessons, and Sunday church. She drove for Meals on Wheels, was a dedicated member of the Bessemer Bend Bridge Club, and she frequently volunteered as a room mother at Poison Spider School. After being introduced to acrylics from a gathering of neighborhood artists, she painted Wyoming landscapes for decades and volunteered at the West Wind Art Gallery (now Art 321).

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Crouch; her son-in-law, Doug Sutton; and her great-granddaughter, AnnElise Huff-Perrine. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Huff (Wayne), Mary Sutton (Doug), Susan Londe (Mike), Janet Wragge (Walt), Patti Crouch-Cook (David), Carolyn Jacobs (Marvin), and Frances Crouch (Kin Snyder). She was a loving grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 on Monday, December 2nd at Our Lady of Fatima Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casper Artists' Guild at Art 321 or Central Wyoming Hospice, who provided deeply appreciated support in Marge's final months. The family also wishes to express their tremendous thanks to the staff at Meadow Winds Assisted Living Center for their kind and generous care.
