Marion Elizabeth (Gomez Morris) Gloistein
Marion Gloistein was born in San Francisco in December 1940 to Miguel and Rebecca passed from our lives on January 20, 2021. Marion suffered a brief illness that was not COVID-19 related before she died. She leaves behind Frank, her husband of 50 years, stepsons Michael and Mark, an extended family across the country, and friends considered family with empty hearts.
Marion lived and worked in California as well as Wyoming before she retired to pursue her true passion, Teddy Bear acquisition. Marion never missed an antique sale and was always on the lookout for a bear to add to her tremendous collection. She designed and sewed her own bears as well which will be treasured for a lifetime by those fortunate enough to receive one from her. Marion was an avid lover of animals and children, never missing the opportunity to spoil either. She was always proud of her grandfather Victor Vaughen Morris. He emigrated from America to Lima where he created the Pisco Sour which became the national drink of Peru.
Following her directives, there will be no services. Newcomer Funeral Home has been entrusted with her cremation. Interment will be held privately at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery at a later time. She and her family request that in lieu of flowers, donations to an animal related charity of your choice be made in her name.
