Marilyn Howes

Marilyn Ruth Howes, 81, of Casper, passed away Sept. 18, 2010. She was born March 28, 1929 in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Earl and Doris Whitmarsh Hoffman. Marilyn was united in marriage to Fred Howes Sept. 1, 1956 in Palmyra, MI and he preceded her in death Sept, 20, 2006. She was a very active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church prior to her illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Howes raised 4 children in West Virginia and moved to Casper in 1979. She was a very caring, loving and giving person and enjoyed doing for others. Marilyn also enjoyed raising flowers and caring for her pets.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Fanto and her husband John of Casper, Nancy Steinberg and her husband Bob of Rawlins, WY, two sons, Tom Howes and his wife Connie of Fairmont, WV, John Howes and his wife Angie of Albuquerque, NM, 2 grandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be Wed. Sept. 22, 10:30 AM at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2625 Casper Mountain Rd. Interment will follow in the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Services under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
