Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through his servant Marie Bunney.
Marie M. Bunney was born in Oak Park, IL, on October 6, 1927, to parents John F. Polzin and Caroline (Rothermel) Polzin. She was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism on November 6, 1927. On April 6, 1941, she was confirmed in the Christian faith and was fed the life-giving body and the blood of Jesus. She was united in holy marriage to Norman A. Bunney on April 15, 1946, and blessed with 56 years of married life together. God also blessed them with the gift of two daughters: Kathy Marie and Karen Kay. On March 10, 2021, God called Marie home to heaven. She is survived by daughters Kathy (David) Hutton, Karen Bunney; Granddaughters Lisa Nichols, Tammy Bonnegrace, Jennifer Lijewski and Grandson Andrew (Caitlin) Minchow; Great Granddaughters: Jozie DuMont, Hannah Bonnegrace, Neala DuMont; Great Grandsons: Dorian Bonnegrace, Adrien Bonnegrace, Douglas Nichols, Kaden Ujvary, Jack Minchow and Eli Lijewski; Great, Great Grandson: Riley Whisler and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister, Marie Bunney.
