Mariah Dawn Malin

Mariah Dawn Malin was a force of nature from the day she was born, on March 3, 1993, in Denver, Colorado to Ronald Malin and Laurie Davis. She departed this world on August 19, 2024, leaving behind love and laughter, altering our lives forever. 

Mariah loved gymnastics and attended Ka-Larks Gymnastics Studio for many years, winning numerous medals, trophies, and placing 1st in her final state competition. She graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 2011. Mariah and Thomas Tanner spent 11 years together and in 2018, welcomed their daughter. Mariah loved being a mom and she loved her daughter fiercely. She had a vibrant personality, clever wit, and the ability to light up a room. Throughout her life, she had a deep love for music and the great outdoors, finding solace and happiness in nature. Her favorite adventures included camping, road trips, concerts, and time spent with friends and family. 

Mariah is survived by her parents, Ronald and Laurie, of Casper, WY; her daughter, RiLynn, of Casper, WY; her grandparents, Elizabeth, of Casper, WY, Larry and Teresa, of Montrose, CO, and Roberta and Dennis, of Fruita, CO; her aunt Sandy (Mike), of Fruita, CO; her uncle Loren (daughter, Cara), of San Antonio, TX; and her cousins, Adam (daughters, Cecelia and Olivia), of Fruita, CO and Alex (Stephanie), of Colorado Springs, CO; along with her best friend Jocelyn, of Casper, WY. 

Mariah is preceded in death by her aunt Holly, and cousin Aaron. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Aaron’s Music Grant a non-profit organization set up in memory of her cousin Aaron, dedicated to fostering creativity in children by expanding their access to instruments and enriching music programs. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, September 6, 2024 at Newcomer Casper Chapel, with a reception to follow at VFW on Bryan Stock Trail.
