Nettie turned 100 years of age on April 3, 2015 in Casper. Two months following she passed away peacefully on June 25, 2015. She was a resident of Garden Squares Assisted Living for the past six years and had also lived in Shirley Basin, Medicine Bow and Fort Collins, CO. Her long life was devoted to her family and enjoyed many hobbies like sewing, quilting, crocheting just to name a few. She grew up in San Luis, CO with her seven siblings and parents.
Nettie was the devoted wife of Isidro (Eddie) Padilla; loving mother to Francis Kincaid of Casper, Margaret Simms (Don) of Washington, AnnaBelle Howard of Montana, Christine Sprenger of Casper, Robert Padilla (Shelly) of Casper, Larry Padilla (Janelle) of Utah, Patricia Burg (Jim) of Michigan, Vickie Tollefson (Jim) of Casper, Christopher Padilla (Billie) of California, Leonard Padilla (Debbie) of Greenriver, WY and Raymond Padilla (Nancy) of Montana. Many, many loving great grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins survive Nettie. She leaves behind many dear friends and Dr. Burk of 29 years whom she adored.
Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, daughters Francis and AnnaBelle, her parents and three brothers; Al, Luis, and Rueben and her sister, Trinie.
A memorial service will be held August 14 at 11am in her honor during the Padilla/Romero Family Reunion to be held in Casper.
