Our beloved Margot Derby went to be with our Lord on July 24th 2011, while residing at Life Care Center of Casper, WY. Born March 22, 1927, Margot was raised in Waldenburg-Dittersbach, Germany, where after World War II she was working as a translator and met the lover of her life, Richard A. Derby. While her husband was in the military, they were stationed in Ohio, Colorado, Indiana, finally settling in Casper, where Richard became commander of the ROTC Program at Natrona County High school in 1951. A homemaker, Margot also ran a garden shop, taught German at Casper College, worked at Brody's Furier and DeMarco's and retired as a secretary of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had a love of languages and spoke fluent German, French and English. Margot also loved to play the piano and listen to classical music, and relished in fine literature, gardening, sewing and cooking.
