CASPER -- Funeral services for Marjory W. Manning, 92, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with Chuck Mathews from the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will take place at Wyoming Memorial Gardens.
Viewing is today from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She died Sept. 9, 2007, at Wyoming Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1915, in Allandale, Mo., the daughter of Robert E. and Mabel (Carter) Casebolt.
She moved from Missouri to Wyoming in 1920 and spent her early years on a sheep ranch in Natrona on Pine Mountain.
She married Ernest J. "Bud" Manning on March 25, 1935, and he died in 1969.
They moved to Casper in 1948. She worked as an office manager for Great Lakes Carbon Company from 1949 until retirement in 1977.
She moved to Texas in 1978 and lived there until returning to Casper in 1993. She spent the last year at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center.
She was a life member of Rebekah Lodge and was a 4H leader for several years.
She enjoyed square dancing, meeting with her sisters doing beading and crafts, loved to travel with her animals and spending time with her family. She taught most of her grandchildren to drive. She touched many lives and will be missed by all.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Elliott and her husband of Casper and Lenora Davis of Evansville; 10 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Robert E. Manning; a daughter, Carolyn A. Counts; three brothers, Bob Casebolt, Dean Casebolt and Don Casebolt; a sister, Maxine Harrison and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, 82601.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
