MARGIE ELLEN GRAYSON
Margie Ellen Grayson, after a lifelong battle with cancer, was called home to be with The Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2005. Born October 28, 1934 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she grew up and attended school there. She worked as a telephone operator, an insurance clerk, and a secretary. She married Gerry Grayson on November 8, 1952. The couple moved to southern California in 1952 where they resided in Garden Grove, Anaheim and Bakersfield until 1972 when they moved to their present home in Casper, Wyoming. Marge was a career wife and mother. She was active with her three children in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Job's Daughters and Little League Baseball. She inspired her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with her love of music, painting, gardening and sports; but above all, her love for Our Lord Jesus Christ. It can best be said that she was truly a servant of The Lord. Marge became a born again Christian at the age of seven and made it her lifelong mission to study God's word, tithe on his benefits, give to the needy, and pray for others. She shared The Gospel with everyone and would often be seen on the street or in a local store clasping the hand of a person in need, head bowed in prayer. Marge kept an extensive prayer journal and ministered to the needs of others over the phone and everywhere she went on a daily basis. She lived an uncompromising Christian life and eagerly shared that joy with everyone. Although we know she's carrying on The Lord's work in heaven, her beauty, love, and laughter on this earth will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Grayson is preceded in death by her parents Etchard Murphy and Elbert Breshears; her brother, Charles Breshears (all of Muskogee, OK), and her granddaughter, Samantha Jordan of Casper, WY.
