Margaretta J. Lauters

Margaretta "Marge" J. Lauters, 63, of Casper, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Wyoming Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born on December 1, 1943 in Livingston, Montana to Henry and Katherine David (Peterson). She was raised in Sheridan, Wyoming until she moved to Casper in 1968.

Marge worked for Johnny Appleseed Greenhouse for 20 years.

She was united in marriage to Richard J. Lauters in 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they enjoyed traveling to air shows where they would race their Formula One planes. Every year they would compete in the Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show. Marge received her private pilot's license at the age of 22. Together she and Richard shared a love for flying. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her children and grandchildren were a very important part of her life. She was affectionately known by all as "Mamoo".

She is survived by a daughter, Cody Marie Williams, and a son, Emil Williams, both of Casper; two brothers, James David (Peggy) of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Vernon David (Betty Jo) of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Destry John, MacKenzie Chevelle, and Savannah Marie; two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and both parents.

Inurnment services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2007 at Oregon Trail State Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home; cremation will follow.
