Margaret Alice Porter, 75, of Mills, passed away Aug. 9, 2010 at her residence after a long illness.
She was born April 24, 1935 in Casper, WY, the daughter of Henry Alton and Myra Tromble Schimpf. Margaret attended Natrona county High School and participated in the school Choir as a soloist and she graduated in 1953. She was united in marriage to Thomas Alvin Porter on July 27, 1958 in Casper, WY. She was employed by Cabot-Franks ( National Oil Well Varco) and retired after 38 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, camping, boating, bowling and snow-mobiling.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Alvin Porter, two daughters, Debbie Mosteller and her husband Pat of Casper, Sandy Glynn and her husband Kelly of Casper, a son, Eugene of Cheyenne, WY, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, William Schimpf of Lovell, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug 12, 2010, 10:30 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Wyoming Memorial Garden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
