Margaret "Margie" Helen Edwards, age 91, of Casper, passed away October 20, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Margie was born July 14, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Anna (Frenz) Dent. Margie graduated from Bayridge High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1944. After graduation, she was employed at Irving Trust Company on One Wall Street in New York where she was a bank teller. While roller skating she met Albert "Lloyd" Edwards while he was in the Navy and stationed in New York. In November of 1945, she moved to Casper, Wyoming and married Lloyd. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Bunny Bread, and for 20 years she was the bookkeeper for Fred Sims CPA before retiring. Margie was a member of the Ladies of the Masons- Beauceant in Casper, Wyoming and a member of Boyd Avenue Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Albert "Lloyd" Edwards, son-in-law, Dale Pike, her brother, John Dent Jr. and sister, Dorothy Johnson. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Dorothy "Frank" Black, Janet Pike, Alice "Garry" Anderson, 6 grandchildren, Dan "Chelsey" Pike, Renee "Mike" Monear, Dean "Rachelle" Anderson, Brent "Amy" Anderson, Ed "Holly" Pike, and Jim "Traci" Pike, 16 great-grandchildren, Jonah, Luka, Kaylee, Konnor, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Jacob, Mary, Naomi, Ella, Corbin, Casey, Tori, Jeffery, Tim, and Christopher, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals, and Receptions. Burial will follow at Wyoming Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boyd Avenue Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice in Margie's memory.
