Margaret Ann Gish of Casper passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at age 87.
She was born to parents Nick and Sarah Haverlock on Sept. 16, 1925 in the small coal mining town of Gebo, WY. As a young girl growing up Margaret spent time in Gebo and Kirby, WY as well as on the family farm in Paradise Valley outside of Riverton, WY. Margaret attended school in Shoshone, WY.
On Sept. 21, 1943 Margaret married Estel Lee Gish who was stationed at the Army Air Corp. Base located west of Casper, WY. The ceremony took place at her aunt's house in Casper.
For a number of years Margaret worked as a Ward Clerk at the old Natrona County Memorial Hospital and retired from there in 1980.
Margaret is survived by three children. David and Anita Gish of Riverton, Saralyn and Jeff Ginder and Judy Fisher of Casper. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Lee, parents Nick and Sarah Haverlock, and brothers Nick Jr. , James and Andrew Haverlock.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be made to either Amedisys Hospice Care or Caring Hands of Wyoming.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.on Tuesday, Sept. 17th. Burial services will be held at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday, Sept. 18th at 1:00 p.m.
