Mardie Foster Robinson, age 76, of Casper, passed away January 16, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center. Mardie was born February 12, 1939 in Wooster, Ohio to Bill and Bonnie (Foster) Wertz. In 1957 she graduated from Wooster High School. In 1961 she graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Mardie met her true love Boots, while attending college and they were married shortly after falling in love. She was employed with the Natrona County School District for more than 25 years before retiring. Her proudest moment as an educator was being a founder of the Star Lane Problem Based Learning Center.
Mardie had a passion to teach anyone at any time - anything from poker to sewing to creative writing. As an exceptional teacher, she continued to teach and learn every day. Fishing with Boots and their children were special times. Spending time with her dogs on her deck in the sun surrounded by her beautiful flowers was a perfect day for her.
In addition to her parents, Mardie was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Buford "Boots" Robinson Jr.
She is survived by her Sister, B.J. Largent and Brother, Ned Wertz; Daughter, Amanda (Jerry Green) Robinson, Son, Ned (Jennifer) Robinson and Son, J.R. (Judy Ford) Robinson, and several grandchildren.
A gathering of family and loved ones will be held 3:00pm at Izaac Walton Club House, 4205 Fort Caspar Rd, Casper, WY 82604.
