Mardelle Yvonne Harper passed away at Banner Health Center in Casper on December 12, 2023.
She was born in Sandwich, Illinois on November 30, 1944 to Charles Roy Kelley and Kathleen Irene (Rusher) Kelley.
She lived in Earlville, Illinois and attended East Aurora High School. She worked at Old 2nd National Bank in Aurora and at City National Bank in California before moving to Colorado Springs, CO where she continued working at the Exchange Bank in Colorado Springs.
It was in Colorado Springs, CO in 1963 when she met the love of her life, Richard Harper.
They were married in 1964 and from this union 2 children were born.
She worked as a banker, bookkeeper, realtor, and many other jobs, but her first and most important job was always taking care of her family.
She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and traveling, and making a perfect home for her family.
She leaves behind 1 daughter, Michelle Reynolds (Casper), 1 son, Richard Harper, Jr. (Casper), 1 grandson, Chris Harper, and partner, Nathan Eshe (Casper).
2 granddaughters, Rozanna (Harper) Taylor and husband Sam Taylor (Casper), Rachael Harper and fiance Tony Butler (Casper), 1 great-granddaughter, Ellie Michelle Butler (Casper), as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by 2 loving sisters, Leslie Friebele (Fairfax, Virginia), Evelyn Westwood (Aurora, Illinois).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Richard Harper, Sr., Ed Kelley, Charles Kelley, Bud Kelley, Larry Benson, and two sisters, Roberta Messenger and JoAnn Benson.
She was truly the Matriarch of the family and will be sadly missed.
She will be cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled for a future date.
