She was born September 3, 1951 in Dixon, Illinois. She was the daughter of Donald and Irma Seidel. She married Greg Smith in Illinois and they later divorced. She married Daniel A. Roberts in Glenrock, Wyoming in 1989.
She received a nursing degree at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and practiced at KSB Hospital in Dixon, Illinois. In 1975, she moved to Casper, where she was involved with Ernesto's Restaurant and worked at the Shiloh Inn. Later, she became a commercial copywriter for KATI/KGRQ radio stations and, in 1987, while working for KTWO radio, won three awards for best commercials from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. In 1988, Lynn joined KQLT radio as Office Manager and served in that position until 1994 when the station was sold.
She served on the boards of the Casper Self Help Center, the Casper Boys and Girls Clubs, Vive la Joie, the Casper Red Cross and the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
The past 8 years were spent in Illinois and was living with her husband in Elwood, a Chicago suburb at the time of her death. They had purchased a house in Casper in January of 2006 and were to have moved back to be with family and triends. Unfortunately a sudden illness postponed the move, to this coming March.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dan, daughter, Kacie Dawe of Collierville, Tennessee, Sheryl Hegglund of Casper, and 8 grandchildren.
