Lowell E. Thomas, 92, of Cheyenne passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Central Wyoming Hospice, Casper, Wyoming.Lowell was born July10, 1919 in Wadena, Minnesota to Edward and Joyce Thomas.
Lowell was in the United States Army during W.W.II.
He was an avid H.O. Model Railroad collector. He had a brilliant mind and used that gift to build Ham radios.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Cheyenne.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hilda, in 2002 and a son-in-law, Jerry Metz.
Lowell is survived by his children, Judy Metz, Ft. Gibson, OK., Jim Thomas (Marolyn) Casper, WY., Tom Thomas, Cheyenne, WY., and Vickie Obermueller (Jerry), Casper, Wy. A daughter-in-law, Betty Thomas, Cheyenne, Wy. 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1111 East 22nd Street, Cheyenne, WY. 82001.
