Louise Irene Green

July 7, 1950 — February 27, 2015

Louise Irene Green

On February 27, 2015, our mom Louise Irene Green, who loved to live life to the fullest and never let the effects of polio stand in her way, took her final wheelchair ride at the young age of 64. She entered into this world on July 7, 1950, the daughter of Darwin J Brown and Harriette Ruth Stanton Brown of Newcastle, Wyoming.

In her own words she wrote the following message that she wanted shared with her family and friends. "I want you all to know how much I loved you(especially Tina and Larry D(Sugar Bear),I want you all to remember me at my best, to forgive me if I hurt you, to have joyful memories of my life, to forgive each other and make peace and to know I forgive you for any hurt that you may have caused me.

I want to be remembered in the following ways: I was Louise Irene Brown. My parents were Darwin J and Harriette. I was loved and had a good life. I was a polio survivor and proud to be able to keep working on it from post polio. I was very determined to keep my life full of people and things that made me happy. I love to laugh and could always find someone that made me laugh. I have always had animals, and it was important that my animals were treated just like my kids. Like Dub, who died in his mid 20's, Boo-Boo, a thief and a rascal, Pepsi, who loved to help bake cookies and my little B, she was sweet. I loved them all and my kids' animals too.

I don't particularly want a funeral. Just a family gathering for friends, family and whoever else that may have something to say. I'm sure you all have something to say, I know I said plenty. Most would make you happy and laugh. Some would make you madder than hell.

My last hope was to continue to be an advocate for the disabled. They needed help, so I would help them anyway that I could.

I worked at the theatre taking tickets, library assistant at the elementary school, switch board operator and radio operator, housing director for the 1st National High School Finals Rodeo, secretary for the district judge in Converse County and was a diamond and gold smith and jeweler in my own business, Guilded Rose. I got an invitation from President Clinton to his inaugeration, all the parties in recognition for my part in the revision to bring the State of Wyoming laws up to date for the Americans With Disabilites Act.(ADA) I loved it!

I want my family to know that I love them and I am glad you got a chance to know me. I will still be around. Just look or listen and I will be there. If a bird poops on your head then thats a sign from me."

Our mom loved everyones children as much as her own and would often sew for them as she loved to sew. She also loved to bake, knit, do bead work and all kinds of crafts. She just pretty much enjoyed life and could do pretty much anything that she put her mind to do.

She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1968. On September 28, 1968 she married Lawrence Elmer Green in Hartville, WY. To this union were born Christina Ruth and Lawrence Darwin.

She is survived by her daughther & son-in-law Tina & Darwin Mohler, her son Larry D Green, 1st husband Larry, sister Marlene(Robert) Branscom, sister Leslie(John) McMackin and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many many friends.

She was preceded in death by her companion Tom Andersen, her parents, her brother Elvin and her brother Darwin, maternal and paternal grandparents and one nephew Dustin Branscom.
