Louis Thomas Carubie

September 29, 1961 — September 29, 1961

Louis Thomas Carubie Jr., age 57, of Casper, passed away August 8, 2019, of natural causes. Tom was born September 29, 1961 in Casper to Louis and Shirley (Pursel) Carubie. Tom graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1980. He worked as a Security Guard at Wyoming Medical Center before becoming employed as a Deputy Sheriff for Natrona County Sheriff's Office. The majority of his service was at Alcova Lake and surrounding areas, where he was known and loved by all. During his time of service, he passed on his knowledge by instructing emergency response training and cadets. After 25 years of dedicated service for the citizens of Natrona County, he retired in 2009 but continued to faithfully serve his community whenever he was needed.

His quick wit and sense of humor, along with his love of life and morals made Tom a person many people looked up to and cherished. As his mother said, "God couldn't have chosen a better son. He was very generous and protective." He was the youngest to four older sisters, his sense of humor, loyalty, and huge heart made him the best brother. This carried into the dad he became. His greatest accomplishment, were his four amazing children, who adored him, and carried down his smart alec traits and loving tendencies. He was their "Superman." ~Booey! The day his first grandchild arrived, he found a new passion in life, bringing him to become the most incredible and loving "Papa" to all of his grandchildren, with whom he had no problem sharing his grape kool-aid.

He enjoyed photography, woodworking, writing poetry, and playing practical jokes. He loved being outdoors, firearms, watching Nascar, and most of all- spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Lou, two sisters, Jodi and Cindy, and his Uncle Max. He is survived by his mother, Shirley "Mimi", sisters, Sandi Carubie of Casper and Barb (Chip) Wangelin of Pocatello, Idaho, son, Louis "Tommy" Thomas Carubie III, daughter, Desiree Carubie, son, Timothy "T.J." Carubie, all of Casper, daughter, Andrea (Ray) Daugherty, of Edmond, OK, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
