CASPER -- A memorial service for Lorraine Emma Christianson, 89, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
She died at the Wyoming Medical Center on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008.
She was born on March 24, 1918, in Diamondville to Edward and Bertha Anderson. She attended schools and graduated from high school in Kemmerer.
On May 10, 1941, she married Roy K. Christianson. After their marriage they moved to Gillette and then to Newcastle where they lived until moving to Casper in 1965.
She worked as a seamstress for 13 years at the Natrona County Memorial Hospital, now known as the Wyoming Medical Center, until she retired in 1984.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. For the past five years she lived at Garden Square. She enjoyed doing ceramics, reading and traveling. She also loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have known her.
Survivors include her daughters, Carole Aguirre and her husband of Reno, Nev., Nancy Barclay and her husband of Casper; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Rodger; three sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
