Lorene Eleanor Siegel, age 88, of Casper, passed away June 10, 2016 at Life Care Center of Casper. Lorene was born February 3, 1928 on the family farm near Mandan, North Dakota to George and Eleanor (Menke) Hagerott. She attended college in Dickinson, North Dakota and taught in the country school there for 12 years. She met and married Anton "Ted" Siegel on March 4, 1950 and made there home in Mandan, North Dakota. They moved to Wyoming in 1964 and taught first grade for 17 years in Natrona County at Poison Spider Elementary School. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Wyoming.
In addition to her parents, Lorene was also preceded in death by her son Randy, 3 siblings; Alan, Norma and Alice. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ted, sons, Devin (Lana) and Larry (Carol) Siegel, daughters Cynthia (Steve) Mehlberg and Cheryl (Jeff) McLaughlin, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Dorothy DeBattista, brothers Don Hagerott and George Hagerott Jr., her canine companion Pixie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, June 15, 2016 starting at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1240 South Missouri, Casper, WY. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 am. with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. A Reception will follow graveside services back at Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and Casper Humane Society in Lorene's memory.
