Lois Marion Nemitz Skelton, 82, of Casper passed away on December 23, 2008 at her home after a long illness, surrounded by family. Lois was born on March 25, 2926 near North Redwood, Minnesota to Anna and Charles Nemitz. She graduated from Milroy High school in 1944. Lois Married Wallace Skelton May 11, 1947. They had three children. Lois was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Lois was baptized, confirmed and married in St John's Lutheran Church, Vesta, Minnesota and was a 48 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Casper. She taught Sunday School and was an active member of the LWML until recently. She enjoyed camping in the Western States, RV'ing with the Good Sam Club and traveling with her sister Joan and her husband Elmer Schroeder, brother, Fred Nemitz and his wife Theresia. She also enjoyed crocheting with her good friend Lois Fisher and was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, sons, Steven of Salt Lake City and Kevin and wife Linda of Houston, TX, and a daughter Lori Hutchison of Gillette. She is also survived by grandchildren, Natalie Skelton and Nicole & Ryan Hutchison and two great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday December 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12th and Missouri. Interment will be Monday December 29 at 9:00 AM at the Oregon Trails State Veterans Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests memorial to Trinity Lutheran Church, Casper, WY. Newcomer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
