On May 25, 1925, Eileen was born in Casper, Wyoming to Fanny and Louis Lund. She was quite fond of her older brother, Lowell Lund. As a child Eileen attended Ash elementary school and grew up in the home her father built on Ash Street. She loved reading and was part of a cooking group in 5th and 6th grade. The family moved to Riverton when Eileen was 13 to live on the farm. The calf she raised, which took 3rd place at the fair, helped Eileen recoup from the sudden death of her father in 1940. This further deepened the relationship she had with her mother and brother. She attended nursing school in Colorado Springs; although she yearned to be closer to home- Eileen was resilient. After graduation she started her first job as a nurse in Casper. During this time Eileen met her husband-to-be, Harold, on a blind date. Her first impression of him was "too short" however six months later they were married in Jackson, Wyoming on March 25, 1950. The family eventually expanded and she had two boys, Don and Mark Mosher. Although Casper was their permanent home, they travelled abroad for many years experiencing Pakistan and Europe. Eileen continued her career as a nurse with Dr. Brubaker until she retired. She continued giving by volunteering with Holy Cross and other charitable organizations in Casper.
During her ninety years Eileen's relationship with the Lord, her family and friends deepened. She had an amazing memory, was an avid reader, and had the uncanny ability to connect and share memorable experiences. Eileen will be remembered for her giving spirit. She shared her love for us through home cooked meals, delicious desserts, countless hugs, and words of encouragement. Although she is greatly missed, Eileen did not fear the day of her call to the Lord and anticipated the reunification with her family and friends in heaven.
Eileen is survived by her grandchildren, Kalei Mosher, Jeff Mosher, Melissa Mosher, and Charlee (Tom) Asmus; great grandchildren, daughter in law, Marion Mosher; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lund; and nephews, Jim (Jan) and Jerry (Cindy) Lund. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sons, Donald and Mark Mosher; and brother, Lowell Lund.
