Logan W. Martz, 19 of Casper, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center. Logan was the son of Shawn and Amy Martz, he was born on September 20, 1997 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 2016. He was involved in debate, drama, and orchestra during his school years. Logan will be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Logan was extremely involved in the review of DC Comic movies and created a popular web page and You Tube channel to broadcast his views.
Through his church youth group, Logan was involved in several mission trips and community projects. He volunteered at the Mission helping in the kitchen to be eligible for his mission trips. Logan's kind heart and generous spirit continues today through his organ and tissue donation.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, Winfield Martz and his cousins, Nathaniel Crowe and Ethan Faurot. Logan is survived by his parents, Shawn and Amy Martz; sisters, Tatum Martz and Aspen; grandparents, Joan Martz of Cedar Rapids, IA, Martha (Paul) Barnhart of Joplin, MO, Gerald (Annette) Crowe of Waterloo, IA; aunts and their families, Amy (Jeff) Kane, Ashley, Rylie, and Dalton,
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home Casper Chapel. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Highland Park Community Church. A reception will follow the service at VFW Memorial Post 9439, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail. A private interment will follow at a later date at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery.
The family asks that funeral attire to be comic book character t-shirts. Feel free to bring an extra t-shirt to be donated to children in Honduras in Logan's name after the service.
