Lindee "Coleen" Palmer, 59 of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on May 23, 2013 with her loving husband at her side. She was born in Lusk, Wyoming on November 2, 1953 to parents Delmar and Bernadine Alter. She grew up on a ranch developing a love for the outdoors. She graduated from Niobrara High School in 1972, being active in the high school band and choir. She attended the University of Wyoming, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. Soon after, she began her career as a medical technologist.
Coleen was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking and hosting friends at her home. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1980. In 1996 she concluded her medical technology career to become a full time evangelizer, which she faithfully continued until her death.
Coleen is survived by her husband, Chad, of Casper; son, Shawn Cathcart, his wife Angela and their daughters Taylor and Tristin of Springfield, Missouri; siblings, Patricia Jugler of Casper, Dwayne Peterson of Casper, Aleta Scott of Rapid City, South Dakota and Bette Alter of Chico, California and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, May 28 at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
