LINDA RENEE WALLACE was born Linda Renee Welch on May 3, 1954 at 9:30 a.m. to Charles Aaron and Peggy Jean Welch, at the Overton Memorial Hospital in Overton, Texas. She had an older brother, Rick, awaiting her arrival. She was called Renee by most people that knew her. She was a beautiful little girl with curly blonde hair. She was a smart child and very much into mischief. If there was something to get into, she would be the first one diving in! She was very much a tomboy throughout grade school and almost the fastest runner in the entire neighborhood. When it was time for the kids to pick players for teams Renee was almost always chosen first.
Soon, life took on a few different twists and she got two more brothers, Mitch and Gary Welch. She was without a doubt growing up quickly into a beautiful young woman. She had her son Corby Gipson on May 22, 1973. He was the apple of his mother's eye! Soon she met and fell in love with Charlie Lynn Wallace from Henderson, Texas. The couple got married in Gregg County, Texas on February 18, 1975. The newly married couple along with Corby moved to Henderson, Texas. On August 3, 1976 Renee gave birth to their daughter, Tiffany Nicole Wallace.
Renee was known for her protective nature over both her kids. And she was home room mother while they were in grade school. She was a stay at home mom. Lynn and Renee had a life of ups and downs trying to rear two children that were a bit like their mom. She was a loved person. To truly know her was to love her.
After her youngest kid's graduation had past, Lynn and Renee decided to move to Casper, Wyoming. But, before that happened in March of 1995 her son Corby and Kathy Gipson had her first grandchild, Dalton Lynn Michael Wallace. He was loved and a very special kid. Although Renee loved her family there was more she wanted and needed. After spending nearly all her life down south she wanted the snow. So she got her snow in February 1998. About a month later her daughter moved up, then her son and his family. Then on August 12, 1999 Shelby Marie Gipson was born. Corby, had had another grandchild for her to be so proud of and to love. In 2000, her daughter moved back to East Texas. Her son and his family soon followed. The winters were just too brutal.
She made several friends here and there as Renee had such a huge heart. Lynn, was traveling for work and home on the weekends so she had time to spare. She sometimes went and stayed with him. In 2001 Lynn and Renee's newly married daughter and son in law moved back to Wyoming. They were living at Lynn's apartment in Big Piney. 2001 Christmas was celebrated at that apartment. Renee was there and very happy! She was proud of her son and his family, and now of her daughter and son in law, Tim Sanders. Then quite literally a miracle happened for a few people. Renee's daughter was having some female problems so she called her mom. Renee convinced her son in law to go buy a pregnancy test. It came back positive. He got another and it was positive as well. She was so happy on the phone with her daughter. However, Renee was also telling them to get to the nearest hospital. They did and got to tell Renee that they were three months pregnant. She was so ecstatic. Soon they moved to Casper to be near the dr. and hospital. Renee was super excited. On October 16, 2002 her second granddaughter was born with her in the room. In fact she was the first person to hold Jeannie Renee also known as J.R.
To Renee family was important. She kept it in a knot. She pulled everyone back together when life loosened that knot. There is so many great things to say about this woman but the most important was her love for her husband of forty years Charlie Lynn Wallace. He was by far the most important person in her life and vice-versa. Renee would not want someone bragging about her life but it is suitable to say her and Lynn went from rags to riches in so many ways.
Linda Renee Wallace went to fly with the angels on Saturday evening, June 6, 2015. She will be greatly missed. She is now up in Heaven looking down on her family wishing them nothing but good times. She is finally truly happy with our Father and her mother and many other family members and friends and furry little loved ones too.
She is survived by her husband of forty years, Charlie Lynn Wallace Casper Wyoming. Her daughter and family Tiffany, Tim and J.R. Sanders Evansville Wyoming. Her son and family Corby, Kathy, Dalton and Shelby. Overton Texas. Her father Charles and Anne Welch. Brothers Rick and Mitch Welch and Aunt Fran Rook of Tyler Texas.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Renee would say to everyone reading this God Bless You! Rest In Peace Linda Renee Wallace May 3, 1954 to June 6, 2015
