Linda May Glover

Linda May graced the world on October 12, 1971, in Casper, WY, as the cherished youngest daughter of Peter (Bud) and Darline Moens. Completing the Moens clan, she joined her elder brothers Gordon and Bruce, along with her big sister Brenda. From the very beginning, Linda shared a deep and unbreakable bond with her Daddy, spending countless hours together that nurtured a lifelong friendship. Their shared adventures included learning to ski when Linda was just a young girl of twelve, creating cherished memories on the slopes. Their strong connection extended to the kitchen, where they spent many holidays cooking side by side. She also shared many memories of baking with her Mom, learning how to make the most amazing homemade pies.

Linda and her sister Brenda formed the dynamic second pair of siblings in the family, and as sibling relationships tend to do, Brenda was her biggest antagonist but also her greatest protector. With Brenda's imaginative spirit leading them on exhilarating escapades. Linda, always ready to embrace her sister's daring and rule-bending ideas, eagerly followed Brenda on their brave summer adventures. Together they created a bond that could never be broken and memories to last a lifetime.

Growing up in the carefree surroundings of Bessemer Bend, Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Trips to town were a special occasion, and she spent numerous hours engaged in checkers, card games, and basketball with her siblings, sharing laughter and jokes. However, her heart truly belonged to the adventures she embarked on with her sister, crafting treasured memories on their porch. Her early education was spent at Poison Spider school where she engaged in sports like basketball and track.

Linda married her greatest admirer and eternal love, Tony Glover, after a chance meeting on a blind date in 1996. Her heart's desire came true when she became a devoted mother to Alex (1997) and Nick (2001). Her journey to motherhood intertwined with her love story, and in February, their enduring love recently marked its 26th anniversary. Tony and Linda dedicated their lives to one another and their beloved boys. Linda's deepest affection was for her family, and her close-knit circle of lifelong friends, including Michele, Christine, and Barbara, who were not only kindred spirits, but they were also her soul sisters.

With a hippy spirit, Linda passionately championed peace and fairness, vehemently opposing any instance of inequality that crossed her path. Her voice was quiet, yet resolute, especially when faced with life's injustices. These sentiments were ignited early in her life and continued to burn brightly throughout her journey.

Her happiest moments were spent at "the house," surrounded by her cherished loved ones. Linda found peace in camping adventures in the Big Horns and cherished every moment spent with those who held a special place in her heart.

Linda was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer in 2013. Ovarian Cancer is known as the "silent killer" as most women are diagnosed at advanced stages. It is often missed by Dr.'s, as was Linda's case. Linda fought off her cancer for almost 9 years and she felt lucky to be able to see her boy's graduate.

Left to honor her memory are her devoted husband Tony, her beloved sons Alex and Nick, her mother Darline Moens, and her sister Brenda (Glenn). Linda is also survived by her loving mother and father-in-law, Sheila and Bill Glover. Her remarkable nieces and nephews, including Ashley, Ryan, Erika, Kevin, Jory and Sarah (who preceded her in death in June '23), held a special bond with her that she cherished deeply. She also extended her affection to their children, valuing the importance of family connections, and shared a special relationship with her sister Brenda's grandchildren by Sarah, Logan and Brodie Ryberg who love her fiercly.

While she was often quiet, Linda's heartstrings vibrated with passion and compassion. As Ralph Waldo Emerson eloquently put it, "To know that even one life has breathed easier because you lived, this is to have succeeded." Linda's legacy of love, resilience, and compassion has undoubtedly made countless lives breathe easier, a testament to a life well-lived.

To Tony, she shared, "Oh, the miles we have journeyed together…"

A celebration of her life will be held at the Pioneer Church at the Natrona County Fairgrounds August 26, 2023, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society in Linda's honor.
