Linda Forbes

Linda Lou Forbes, 60, of Powder River and formerly of Phoenix, AZ, passed away June 17, 2009 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home of Ovarian Cancer.
Linda was born May 19, 1949 in Bay City Michigan, the daughter of Russell and Loretta Prentice Dunning. She was a graduate of Tempe University High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to David W. Forbes July 17, 1999 in Broken Horn. She was employed by the Bill Barrett Corp. as Office Manager. Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and friend. She loved her flowers, hunting rocks, fishing and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband David, a daughter, Kristie Vega and her husband Albert of Casper, WY, 2 sons, Sean Hanson and his wife Rachel of Casper, WY and Charles Forbes and his wife Jamie of Casper, WY. There are 6 grandchildren, Russell Vega, Greg Warren, Tye Hanson, Maggie Forbes, Aurora Hanson and Abbie Forbes and one on the way. Her mother, Loretta Dunning of of Mesa, AZ and a brother, Russell Dunning and his wife Liz of Albuquerque, NM. There are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and other family members.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 22, 2009 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Limmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Forbes Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 3 to 5 PM.
