Linda Lee (Adkins) Aston passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her home outside of Casper, Wyoming. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Newcastle, WY to Kenneth and Veronica (Toots) Adkins. Lin grew up on the Adkins Ranch in Weston County, where she and her little sister Marie spent most of their time.
In 1961, Lin graduated from Newcastle High School.
She married Mike Trumbull in 1963, and five years later their son Monty was born. They later divorced. Monty was always her pride and joy. They had a special bond, and she would brag to anyone that she could about him and his family.
In 1977, she married Ronald Aston and gained two stepchildren, Daryl and Lori. They were happily married for 43 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, sister Marie (Joe) Podio, of Newcastle, son Monty (Shelly) Trumbull, of Casper, Lori Aston, of Rapid City, Daryl (Shannon) Aston, of Rapid City, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Throughout her adult life she owned and worked in the plumbing and heating industry. Linda enjoyed traveling, often taking the grandkids to a lake or Yellowstone in the summers. In 2012, she and Ron moved to the ranch outside of Casper to be near her son and his family. At the ranch, she enjoyed watching the wildlife, helping with chores, and caring for her beautiful lawn and gardens. She looked forward to her daily 10 o'clock morning phone calls with her sister.
She was a lover of animals and cared for her cats Squeaky Pete and Charlee until the end. She would watch the bum calves (Winnie and Penny) and Donkey (Don Quixote) from her front window. And she always had a treat for the "grand" dogs whenever they would sneak over for a visit.
Lin enjoyed baking German Pancakes and having the grandkids over to share them with her. There was never any measuring of the powdered sugar and lemon juice on top, she told the kids to pour them from the heart.
