GLENROCK -- Services for Lillian Lorain Wickett, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Community Baptist church with Pastor Rick Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Glenrock Cemetery.
Viewing will be just prior to the services at the church.
She died Sept. 19, 2007, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Superior, the daughter of Herley Fronk and Jennie Aitken and raised on the family ranch in Bondurant.
She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1939.
She joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 and was stationed in San Pedro Naval Base, San Pedro, Calif., where she met her husband of 61 years, Hershel Wickett. After their discharge in 1945, they were married March 21, 1946 in Jackson.
In 1954, they moved to Glenrock where they resided until her death.
She was a member of the Glenella Rebekah Lodge #41 of the IOOF. She was a past advisor of the Glenrock Theta Rho Girls Club. She was active in her church and enjoyed traveling to all sports events of her children and grandchildren.
She was a gracious host and her home was always open to family and friends. It could be said f you left her home hungry or thirsty it was no fault of hers.
Survivors include her husband, one son and his wife, Hummer Wickett; three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn Lehner, Debbie Roe and Patty Baughman, all of Glenrock; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or Glenrock Senior Center.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
