Leila Sowers Blake, 59, Born in Midwest Wyoming July 22nd 1954, passed away April 8th 2014, at her home (EAR HAVEN), near Casper Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Sowers Sr. Her brother, Albert Sowers Jr. She is survived by her husband, Gary Blake, her mother Harriet Sowers and her daughter, Angel Johnston.
Keeping high spirits and making sure the ranch was run and all her animals were attended to, until losing her hard fought battle with cancer.
Lee was a life member of the Rocky Mtn Elk Foundation as well as a member of the Mule Deer Foundation. Assuring habitat for all wildlife she loved so much. She was an avid big game hunter. Hunting elk annually in her beloved Wyoming.
In recent years, Lee became involved in training and riding mules and mammoth donkeys. Joining trail ride groups on the internet. She found herself traveling across the United States going on trail rides making new friends along the way. Also sharing her new found passion with people as far away as the UK and Australia.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomers Monday April 14th 2014 at 10 AM. Reception to follow at the Casper Elks Lodge directly after. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
