Life History:
Lee grew up on a farm with his parents and one brother near Gillette, Wyoming. His education led him to become a teacher in a one-room school house for several years. In 1948 he was in the United States Army for a short time until he was called back to help his Dad on the farm.
Lee met Ruth Miller at a local church and they were married in 1950. They settled in Midwest and during their 56 years of marriage, raised and loved their 6 children.
Lee supported the family financially by working 33 years as an electrician for Amoco Production in the oil field and Lee commented, when asked what he liked about his job, "I love climbing light poles." He retired in 1984.
After his Amoco job in the daytime, Lee spent his evenings and Saturdays farming. He spent many hours every day writing in his diary. He also saw the USA by taking month long bus trips every year.
