LaRae "Jessi" Bradbury
A celebration of life for LaRae "Jessi" Bradbury, 65, will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oregon Trail State Veterans' Cemetery. She died at home March 22, 2008.
She was born December 1, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy and Muriel (Votaw) Handy.
She grew up in Casper with her two brothers and sister. She attended Natrona County High School. When she was 16 she started working at the downtown theaters as an usher working her way up to a manager. She manage both the drive-in and downtown theaters for 17 years. On Feb 6, 1975, she married her current husband Ralph E. Bradbury in Casper, WY. She has two Daughters. She went to barber school in Denver, CO to become a men's hair stylist for 8 years. She owned her own business until they decided to move to Oklahoma, later on moving back to Casper to be close to her mother and the rest of her family. Her biggest passion was breeding and showing her beloved Shelties with her youngest daughter for 13 yrs. She then found a love for painting. She did beautiful work on ceramics and tole painting. She and her husband loved to go antique shopping for anything she could paint on. She always had a smile on her face and loved being with her family anytime she could. She would do anything for anyone especially for her two grandkids whom she loved dearly. She loved to go fishing, camping and shopping, watching survivor and amazing race. She was crazy about her hummingbird and swallows. She could spend all day just watching them. She loved working out in her yard so that she could make sure that her two favorite birds had a place to have their babies and food.
She is survived by her beloved mother Muriel "Pat" Handy, her husband of 33 yrs, Ralph E Bradbury, their two daughters, her Sheltie, Shayla and their significant other Kenna & Harry Webber of Phoenix, AZ and their Sheltie child Teresa, Trish Hansen & Kevin Hussion of Casper and her two kids Brianna and Steven. Her sister KaLynne "Kati" Swanson and her four boys Chris Bauer and Paula and her two kids, Cory Bauer, Chad Bauer and his two kids, and Curtis Bauer. Her Brother Johnny and his wife Sharon and all of their kids and grandkids and great grand kids. She has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in Death by her father Roy Handy, Her Brother who died in Vietnam, Walter Elmer Handy, mother and father in law, grandparent on both her mother and father's side, aunts and uncles.
