Funeral services for Kraig Charles Brusaw will be held Friday, August 5th, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church located at 332 East 2nd Street.
Kraig died July 31st at the Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born November 24th, 1994 in Casper, WY to Melanie (Brusaw) Sleep and adoptive father
Jeffrey Sleep.
Kraig was a big brother to Gerald Sleep and Sara Sleep, whom he loved very much.
He will be remembered for his big heart, always helping his family and friends. Kraig liked to skateboard and snowboard, he was really into rap music, he loved to ride his grandparent's 4-wheelers on Casper mountain, he enjoyed camping almost every year at Glendo, he liked learning to drive, and he especially loved hanging out with his family and all of his friends.
Kraig was a talented writer and took second place in the Letters About Literature 2010 contest.
Kraig is survived by and will be greatly missed by his parents, Melanie and Jeffrey Sleep; brother, Gerald Sleep; sister, Sara Sleep; grandparents, Jim and Susan Brusaw and Jerry and Gale Sleep all of Casper; great-grandparents, Patricia Blankenship of Westville IL, Cora and Andy Louie of Phoenix AZ; many aunts and uncles in Casper, Colorado, Arizona, Texas and Montana; numerous cousins in Casper, Montana, Texas and Colorado and so many of his friends here in Casper.
Kraig was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte (Blankenship) Montoya and his uncle, Ted Westreicher.
A benefit concert in Kraig's honor will be held at the Venue on August 18th, 2011, at 6pm, given by his loving cousins Derrek and Stephan Jensen, Britny Richards, and Lexi Abitbol.
