Kenneth Leon “POP” Barstow passed away peacefully Monday, September 9, 2024 at the age of 87 in Casper, Wyoming at his home.

Kenneth was born December 7, 1936 to Ruth Anne Barstow and Barrett E. Barstow in Union City, Pennsylvania.

Kenneth was known for his unwavering dedication as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love, guidance, and treasured memories.

Born and raised in Union City, Pennsylvania, Kenneth dedicated nearly four decades to his role as a company supervisor before relocating to Casper 17 years ago.

Despite his retirement, Kenneth remained a hard worker, a trait his family fondly remembers. His resilience and strong work ethic were hallmarks of his life, along with his ability to bring joy through his captivating stories and witty sense of humor.

A proud veteran, at 17 Kenneth served in the Air Force for four years as a Radio Operator on refueling planes, a time he cherished and spoke of often. After leaving the service, his life took a new direction as he became a father to Joy, his beloved daughter and his adopted son Richard. Kenneth played a pivotal role not only in Joy's life but also in the lives of her children and grandchildren providing endless support and wisdom, as well as taking on a fatherly role. 

Kenneth had a deep love for the simple pleasures in life. From golfing and playing pool to watching his favorite football team the Steelers play.

His infectious laugh, witty sense of humor, and generous heart touched everyone who knew him. We will miss you forever, POP!

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Jean Barstow; grandsons, Sean Michael Neal II; Ryan S. Barstow; brothers, Clarence Harold Barstow; Raymond Barstow; and sister, Helen Mae Shreve

He is survived by daughter, Joy Dian Neal; son, Richard Eugene Barstow; grandsons, Joshua Mark Neal; Jared Lee Neal;  Nathaniel Aaron Neal; Benjamin Tyler Smith; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 Funeral services were not requested, as his ashes will be held by his family.
