Ken Nealeigh

December 9, 1934 — April 5, 2022

Kenneth Eugene Nealeigh, 87, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on April 5th just days after suffering a stroke. He spent several days in the hospital before being moved to Hospice Care in order to make his glorious transition.

Ken was born on December 9, 1934, to Carl T. and Arlene M. Nealeigh. Ken graduated from high school in Trenton, Nebraska. After several years in the Aerospace industry, he returned to further his education and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kearney State College. He continued in the Aerospace industry and moved to Iran. When Ken was 40 years old, he changed his career path. He decided that God had called him to preach. He attended the Bear Valley School of Biblical Preaching from 1975-1977 where he received his bachelor's degree in Theology. He later attained a master's degree at the same school.

He began his preaching career in Gillette, Wyoming. During the next 47 years he preached in South Dakota, Montana, Colorado and Wyoming. His passion was also centered in training leaders. He began an extension school, equipping and training men and women for 22 years in these four states and surrounding areas. His goal did not include retirement and his desire was to continue teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ as long as he had life.

Ken married his high school sweetheart, Marlene (Buhler) Nealeigh in June 1953.They had two children, Rod and Candi. They were married 53 years before Marlene died after a long battle with cancer. In July of 2008 he married Lillian Sullivan and they served the Lord together and enjoyed life for the next 14 years.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Arlene, brother Dickie, and his sister Eunice. He is survived by his sister Sue and his brother Ron. He is also survived by Rod and (Linda) Nealeigh (Dallas, TX) and Candi and (Glenn) Staudinger (Gillette, WY). He has five grandchildren; Miranda, Daicia, Darci, Chelsea and Jordan. He also has eight great grandchildren.

A service of celebration will be held at the Church of Christ, 2344 E. 2nd Street, Casper, WY on Saturday, April 9th at 10:30am.
