Kay Lee Evans

November 21, 1942 — November 30, 2014

Kay Lee (McCune) Evans, 72, of Casper, passed away on Sunday November 30, 2014 surrounded by family.

She was born in St. James, MO on November 21, 1942 to Lee and Glenna (Olbert) McCune. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1960 and she attended Casper College. She married Jimmy Evans in 1963 and they made their home in Glenrock.

Once all of her children were in school, she went to work for Converse County School District #2. She worked for over 30 years at Glenrock Intermediate/Middle School where she worked in the library, WYCAT, and the front office. She was able to finish her career as a Special Education aide; a position that gave her much joy.

Kay enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved watching them play sports and supporting them in all their activities. She also enjoyed the time she spent with friends; playing cards, dominoes, and games. She also loved baking and cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by a brother Kenneth McCune (Candy) and a sister Patsy Konkel (Tracy). She is also survived by three children; Michelle (Dean), Evan (Jennifer), and Melissa (Chris) and five grandchildren; CJ, Colby, Nick, Corbin, and Emily.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, her father Lee, and her mother Glenna.

A celebration of life will be held Friday December 12, 2014 at the Glenrock Senior Center from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Natrona County and to the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation (JimmyV.org).
