Kathryn Morrison died peacefully at home with her family on July 25, 2021.
Kathy was born January 10, 1949 to George A. and Joyce (Hinshaw) Morrison in Spokane, Washington.
In her early years, her family lived in Spokane, Washington, San Diego and San Francisco, California, and Ketchikan, Alaska. Most of her schooling elementary through high school was in Juneau, Alaska. She graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in 1967.
Kathy moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1974 and lived there until she moved to Casper, Wyoming in 2013. Before she retired, Kathy worked in various offices as an accounting clerk in Juneau and Anchorage, mostly for the State of Alaska.
Kathy was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Casper. She participated in one of the Disciples Women's Ministry groups, and volunteered with the church's Sandwich Ministry. She gave regularly to many charities.
Kathy loved animals, especially dogs, horses, and the birds who visited her backyard bird feeder. She was known for her ready smile and interest in other people.
Kathy is survived by her brother George (Terri) Morrison, nephews George (Tyra) and R.J. Morrison of Elko, Nevada, niece Nellie Morrison of Elko, Nevada, niece Rashelle Morrison of Anchorage, Alaska, and great-niece River Joyce Morrison of Elko Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her father George A. Morrison, Jr., mother Joyce A. Morrison, sister Laural Lee Morrison, and brothers James B. Morrison and Richard A. Morrison.
A brief, informal memorial for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Sandwich or Blankets ministries through the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ at 520 CY Avenue or to the Central Wyoming Hospice.
