Kathryn M. Delano-Herring

Kathryn 'Kate' Marie DeLano-Herring, 43 of Casper, passed away in her home September 3rd. Kate was born in 1975 in Buffalo Wyoming. She moved to Billings Montana when she was 13, raised by her mother Joannie Bourbeau. She then graduated Skyview High school in 1994. In April of 1995 she married Brad DeLano. Shortly after that she gave birth to her daughter, Jordan DeLano, born in October 1995. In April of 1997 she was blessed with her second child, Hunter DeLano. After the separation of her and Brad, Kate was a single mother who worked hard to support her family. She was a single mother for 10 years before meeting her current husband, Paul Herring. These two met April of 2007 in Casper and started building their lives together, married in August of 2017. Kate and Paul were together 11 and a half years until her unexpected passing in 2018.
Kate was a lover of many things from her flower gardens to rescuing dogs. She enjoyed playing golf, fishing, floating, and almost anything outdoors. Her dogs and her family were her passion. She was a giver, a healer, and the person people would go to for help or advice. She was selfless and always wore her heart on her sleeve. She was excited about her most recent journey of beginning cosmetology school.
Kate is survived by her husband Paul Herring, daughter Jordan DeLano, and son Hunter DeLano, all of Casper. Her mother Joannie Bourbeau of Billings Montana. She was blessed with 9 siblings; sister Tommi Montana of Billings MT, sister Teresa and husband Dennis Sanders of Billings, MT, sister Koye and husband Scott Hildebrand of Billings MT, brother Karson Kidgell of Billings MT, sister Breeze Bourbeau of Billings MT, sister Jentry and husband Donnie Whitman of Meadville PA, sister Johna and husband Trevor Oates of Conneaut Lake PA, brother Kody Bourbeau of Billings MT, brother Kasch Bourbeau of Billings MT, father in law Chuck Herring of Rawlins WY, and sister in law Amy and husband Mike Darling of Rawlins WY. She also had numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in her death by her grandma Astrid 'Gracky' Muller of Billings MT and mother in law Pauline Herring of Rawlins WY.
Funeral services for Kate will be held Saturday September 15th at 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper Wyoming. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Casper humane society.
