CASPER – Private graveside services for Kalia Lee (Brown) Thompson, 35, will be held later this week in Casper. Kalia was called home by our Lord Sunday, July 21, 2013 from her home in Laramie.
She was born February 17, 1978 in Casper to Karen Christensen and Gary Brown. She attended schools in Casper, graduating from Kelly Walsh High School in 1996. After graduation she enrolled in the University of Wyoming receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in 2000. In 2004 she was married for a short period to Dray Thompson in Casper. Kalia was a loving and caring person always willing to help a stranger or anyone in need. She was especially fond of animals and had a deep affection for her pets Slim & Bosco.
She is survived by her parents Karen (Jerry) Christensen and Gary (Pam Atkins) Brown of Casper, sister Kristi (Gabe) Steele of Golden, Co., nephew Zane Steele of Golden, Co., grandmother Frances Wroble of Casper, and companion Kelly King of Laramie. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, a maternal grandfather and step grandfather. Memorials can be sent in her name to Casper Humane Society or Casper Metro Animal Shelter.
