Evelyn May "Joyce" Abrams-Fantuzzo, 75, of Casper, WY, died Saturday, June 24,2006 at Wyoming Medical Center, peacefully, after a long illness.
Survivors include her two beloved daughters, Kellie Bollinger of Charlotte, NC and Denise Blajszczak, her husband Richard, and grandchildren Eric, wife Mandy, and Shawn, all of Casper. Austin, the son of Eric and Mandy, is Ms. Abrams great grandchild. Joyce is also survived by her brothers, Donald "Tim" Abrams, and Gordon Abrams. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Rossi, Jr.
Joyce was born February 14, 1931, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Wesley and Nellie Abrams. In 1947, she married and moved to Buffalo, New York, where she resided until 1986. In 1986, she moved to Charleston, SC with her daughter, Kellie, and she resided there until moving to Casper, WY in 1999. Joyce was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She took great interest in other people, always there for those who needed her to listen, advise, and console. Her quick wit and dry sense of humor brought many smiles to all. Her wisdom and loving affection will be greatly missed by those who have known and loved her.
A graveside memorial service will be held, at Highland Cemetery, Thursday June 29, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Chaplain Don Stewart will be officiating. The family requests flowers or donations in her memory to the Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, WY 86201.
