Josh D. Allen

May 4, 2002 — August 12, 2020

Joshua David Allen, 18, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2020.

Joshua was born in Lander, Wyoming on May 4, 2002, the son of Paul and Karmen (Gordon) Allen. He attended schools in Shoshoni and Riverton, and then completed his last 3 years of High School at Kelly Walsh after moving to Casper with his family in 2017. Joshua graduated from KWHS in May of 2020.
He was very involved in band, attending Concert Band, Marching Band and two Jazz Bands. He played a variety of instruments including the trumpet, euphonium, and trombone. He dabbled with other instruments including saxophone, guitar, and piano. Josh was always striving to better himself in all areas of his life.
In his free time, Josh enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He loved classic cars, and trucks, and going on 4wheeler rides with his grandpa. His pride and joy was his truck "Sierra", which he purchased in April.

One of his greatest gifts included recognizing the needs of others and jumping in to lend a hand. He would often volunteer his time in the form of helping care for his neighbor's dogs, moving furniture, hanging sheetrock at the church he attended, and too many other ways to count. In the summer of 2018, Josh attended a mission trip to Canada with Boyd Avenue Baptist Church to reach out to underprivileged children to teach them about The Word of God and basketball.

He had an outstanding work ethic. During his Junior and Senior years, Josh worked at Dairy Queen. He genuinely loved his job and his co-workers. In May of 2020, he took a job as an apprentice for Triple T Remodeling.

Josh will be remembered most for his humor. He was always able to come up with a quick witted pun or joke for just about any occasion.

Josh is survived by his mother, Karmen Manasco and step-father, BJ Manasco, sister, Mary (Ed) Fields, and their daughter Samantha, brother, Kaleb Allen, step-brothers, Zack Manasco, Jake Manasco, and KC Manasco, grandparents, Ken and Kathy Gordon, uncle, Kevin (Tina) Gordon and their son, Matthew Gordon; and numerous paternal cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Paul Allen, and both paternal grandparents, Mark and Anna Allen.
