It is with profound sadness that the family of Joseph Isaac Joslyn, Sr . said good-bye to husband, father and grandfather at the age of 83 years old. Cause of death was the result of complications due to a fall.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Janice (Garbe) Joslyn; his children: daughter Melanie (Joslyn) and Paul Bradley, daughter Deanna Joslyn, son Joseph Joslyn, Jr . and Hope; his grandchildren, Rachel Doherty, Danny Joslyn, Chad Sandfort, Kirsti Gabrielson, Dennis Joslyn, Austin Joslyn, Bryn Gabrielson, Deaton Joslyn, and ten great-grandchildren, sister, Susan Herda, Jim Pancake and two sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Phyllis Joslyn, niece Joan Williams and great-niece, Amanda; two sisters, Virginia and Joyce.
Joe attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN and worked his entire career in the construction industry as an electrician and retired as a Master Electrician.
Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army Reserve. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Casper, WY. He was a member of the IBEW his entire career. As well as the Elks Club, Whirlwind/Good Sam Club, and Patriot Guard. His hobbies included hunting, camping, traveling, and was an avid reader. He was an all-around handy-man and loved completing many projects around his home. Joe had his own special sense of humor along with a gift to gab.
A celebration of life is planned: A public viewing Friday, February 25, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home and Funeral services Saturday, February 26, 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1240 South Missouri Avenue, Casper, WY, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Wounded Warriors or Shriners.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
