Jonelle "Jo" Lea Palato RN was born August 20, 1957 in Watford, ND to Junior Eugene Johnson and Darlene Mae (Kothe) Johnson. She passed away on August 27, 2014 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Jo lived in Tioga, ND from birth until 1971 when the family moved to Casper, WY because her father Junior was transferred with Halliburton. Jo attended Dean Morgan Junior High School and Kelly Walsh High School graduating with the class of 1975. She then attended Casper College from 1975-1976 completing her LPN certification. Her love for nursing returned her to Casper College from 1979-1982 completing her AND and becoming a RN.
Jo married Jesus "Jess" Palato on January 28, 1977 also a RN. Together they built a life raising 2 sons. Jo was a nurse for 28 years. She will be wildly defined by Physicians and Nurses alike who will agree she had a snappy and wicked wit with premium patient care, anyone who knew her will say that there was not a stronger fighter than her. In the last 15 years Jo met obstacle after obstacle but nothing could stop her voracious spirit for life. Her motto was ATTITUDE is everything.
Jo was preceded in death by her mother Darlene, her father Junior, her beloved husband Jesse and her nephew Beau Bullington.
Jo is survived by her sister Benita (George) Bullington their children Anita (Bo) Staten, Jeremy Bullington and their children. Sons Richard "Rick" (Shannon) Palato and their daughter Ana-Rose, Valentino (Amy) Palato and their children Calub Courtney and Maximo Bruce.
