John Rosberg

January 14, 1935 — September 23, 2019

John Eugene "Bunny" Rosberg, age 84, passed away on Sept. 23 at Hospice in Casper, Wy, a very short illness. He was born to John E. Rosberg and Gladys Rosberg on Jan. 14th, 1935, in Bottineau, N.D. where he was raised. At age 13, Bunnys first job was at a small bakery in town where he delivered donuts to businesses nearby. After various odd jobs, he went to Wisconsin for construction work.

Bunny married Eleanor Elaine Rosberg (Counts) on Dec. 7th, 1955, who currently resides in the home they built and shared in West Casper for over 45 years. They would be celebrating their 64th Anniversary. After they married in Minot N.D. Bunny returned with Eleanor to Wisconsin. In 1957, they ventured to Wyoming where he explored his talents in the construction field and building high lines throughout the state. They settled in Casper, WY. in 1963, and Bunny was discovered and offered a position by Pacific Power and Light in 1964 where he pursued his career as a lineman. Bunny was employed by PP&L from 1964 until his retirement in 1996. After his retirement, Bunny enjoyed working part time for Hertz rent-a-car for extra "pocket change." He loved being able to drive new cars for a Hobby! Bunny also enjoyed joining his buddies weekly for a cup of coffee and breakfast at a local café or restaurant.

Bunny was always happy to help anyone in need. His job took him all over the state and further, so he was well known and loved all over the country.

Bunny is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly; a son Guy; a sister, Yvonne; and grandson, Shaun. Bunny is survived by his wife, Eleanor; 2 brothers and 7 sisters; his daughters Nicki and Brenda; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a 1 great-great grandchild.

Bunny was loved and respected by all who knew him. His wisdom, charm, sense of humor and natural common sense approach to life will remain in our hearts and memory forever. Bunny was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was the pillar of strength for his family.

A memorial service will be held at Newcomers on Friday, October 18th at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to Wyoming American Cancer Society, 333 S Beech St, Casper, WY 82601 or Central Wyoming Hospice in the name of John Rosberg.
