John Pershing Durant

Durant, John Pershing, age 89, died October 9, 2008 in a resthome in Sheridan. John was born March 15, 1919 in Kansas City, MO. In 1941 John joined the US Army serving in the 330th Engineering Regiment and was honorable discharged in Dec. 1945 with the rank of Tec 5. John was a heavy equipment operator through out his career working in the Oil field industry.
John will be remembered by his extended family and friends as a loving, kind and generous soul who was always willing to help out in any way he could. He was hard working and very responsible. He is survived by a stepson Richard Spees of Sheridan and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, 10-25-2008, 1:00 PM at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with Father Bob Fox officiating.
